22 weeks

So I'm actually almost 23 weeks but I've been a busy bee this past week and haven't really had time to do this post until now. I feel great, still have days I forget I'm toting along a future Langwald but my nights are still kind of sucky.

I've been getting a lot of questions regarding if this pregnancy is different from my first so I thought I'd give a comparison.

Caryn: was queasy mostly in the evening after supper, never actually sick. Went to bed by 7, very rarely would I stay up till 9 pm.Of course I worked a really early shift mon-fri so that might have something to do with it. At 20 weeks I developed kidney stones. Worst pain of my life and the beginning of the pregnancy from hell lol. I was routinely drugged up pretty much every week after that until delivery due to kidney stones, bladder infections, UTI's which also caused preterm contractions and by the time I stopped working and moved to Fredericton, I was a regular in the L&D floor. The nurses were quite happy to see me one day knowing I was there to actually have a baby and not get pain medication lol.

I also gained weight all over instead of the belly, which sucked. I just looked fat and pretty much did till I gave birth. When Caryn moved and kicked, it was mostly at night around 1 am when she would wake me up.

Junior: Right from the very beginning I could tell this was different. I was queasy ALL day, but again never actually sick. I wished I was though, I missed about 2 weeks straight of work because I felt sooooo much like crap. It didn't last long though and once I hit the 2nd trimester it went away. Since then this pregnancy has been a breeze. I never felt pg, still don't some days, had energy, no stones or illnesses. I was plenty paranoid something was wrong though because of how I felt. I wasn't used to that. I found out I have an anterior placenta though, which means it's in front of Jr and I wasn't feeling him because of the extra cushioning. He kicks me all day now though and sometimes at night.

I've gained mostly in my belly and didn't have to start wearing maternity clothes until 17 weeks and that was mostly for work clothes. I have a nice little belly going on and you have no doubt I'm preggo, so I'm not just looking fat lol.

The only thing that I've noticed so far that my 2 pregnancies have shared is the sciatic nerve. It's a bit painful but not too bad but makes it hard to get comfortable and sleep at night. I need to use Erik as leverage when I roll over.He loves that, no really he doesn't.So that's it in a nutshell, the night and day pregnancies I'm having.I worry since I had such a fantastic delivery with Caryn but a crappy pg, that Jr's great pg will lead to a crappy delivery LOL.

That's what they say....every pregnancy is different......Don't worry too much about delivery though. You're a healthy woman and Junior's healthy, things will go great!!
